Mr. Hossam Kassab. Since 1988 (over 30 years), he has effectively, economically and innovatively saved hundreds of millions of dollars annually for his clients and constituents. And what perhaps places Mr. Kassab in a league of his own is that he has emphatically driven this success from vision to completion to actual operation of a wide variety of energy retrofit projects for employers/clients.

Although Mr. Kassab has achieved energy efficiency success throughout all of his endeavors, perhaps none of them illustrates his passion and talent quite like some of his accomplishments when he led the energy management program for the U.S. Army’s National Training Center, Fort Irwin, in Southern California in his nine years (2008 – 2017) in the position of  Ft. Irwin’s Resource Efficiency Manager (REM). With inspirational grit, in the heart of the Mojave Desert, Mr. Kassab he played a pivotal role in the leadership of each of these projects/accomplishments for Ft. Irwin and our nation’s Department of Defense. • In 2011, alone, Mr. Kassab’s initiatives, collectively (everything combined!), yielded a remarkable 30:1 savings-to-investment ratio.

Previously at NORESCO, Mr. Kassab lead new technology initiatives, worldwide, and managed NORESCO’s innovative technology list, Intranet, and microgrid team. He also supported proposal efforts by providing seasoned insight into new technologies and/or innovation. Actively supported the sales team with client engagement and supported the Fed and non-Fed in developing and submitting competitive proposals.

Hossam is certified as a Professional Mechanical Engineer (PE) in the State of California. He is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Certified as Master’s Level Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCPM) Program, Certified Demand Saving Manager and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C).
