Consumer Behavior Study (Nudge)
Nudging is the most effective behavioral interventions that create behavioral changes which will impact on consumers decision-making while also respecting freedom of choice. To achieve Nudging in the field of conservation of energy, we chose 14 villas from Alshuhada city-Kuwait, which are provided with smart meters, to be studied by introducing simple information and tools (LED lights, conservation tools, and brochures). During the application of the study the meters of the villas will be monitored. An evaluation of the electricity and water consumption will be preformed at the end of the study and the villa owners that have improved their consumption will be reworded by the Ministry of Electricity and Water. From an engineering perspective, this study emphasize the impact of these small behavioral interventions on conservation energy.
