Presented ByNeil Singer
President and CTO
Neil Singer, PhD is the President, Chief Technology Officer and founder of AC Kinetics, a company headquartered in Armonk, New York. Dr. Singer is an optimization expert, specializing in improving the energy efficiency and performance of linear and nonlinear dynamic systems. These systems often include manufacturing processes, electrical equipment, motor drives, and electromechanical machines.
Dr. Singer has developed and licensed vibration and motion control technologies for more than 25 years. He received his SB 1983, SM 1985, and PhD 1989, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Mechanical Engineering department. Dr. Singer has published 39 technical papers, 19 patents, and his Input Shaping® technology for machine vibration reduction is taught in dozens of universities and used in millions of machines worldwide. He has also taught several courses at MIT.
Currently, AC Kinetics and its strategic partner, Koch Industries, are field-testing the AC Kinetics AC induction motor control algorithm for variable speed drives. They are also working with several drive manufacturers comparing energy-savings and performance improvements.
